November 2012 – Update

Sunday 25th November – (Thanks to R. Lyon) 140 black tailed godwit, 37 bar tailed godwit, 38 ringed plover, 16,000 golden plover, 410 shelduck, 6 knot, 400 dunlin, 15 turnstone, 16 grey plover
Saturday 24th November – Good numbers of waders including lapwing, golden plover, turnstone, dunlin. short-eared owl for the 4th consecutive week, a marsh harrier and peregrine seen hunting over the main stray and river, little egret.
Sunday 18th November – On the main strays a large flock of black tailed godwit, in excess of 600 present, also 300+ lapwing, 7 fieldfare over, 2 little egret seen, also hunting short eared owl again and a merlin took a small wader on the Humber shore.

Saturday 17th November – Good views of a perched short eared owl, 2 little egret and around 8000 golden plover. 
Sunday 11th November – A single brent goose seen a couple of times, rock pipit, 2 short eared owls ( 3 reported – R. Lyon), 11000 golden plover, one or two redpoll and siskin over, roe deer and water vole,aA flock of 21 sanderling were also seen along with 31 knot and 4 turnstone.
Saturday 10th November – A drake goldeneye seen off Paull village, good numbers of redwing and fieldfare, 1 little egret, 2 jays were our first for 6 years and around Fort Paull a coal tit was seen.
