23rd February 2014 –  RL & EC bird count from red lighthouse:- Teal 40, Golden Plover 6600, Wigeon 682, Shelduck 234, Grey Plover 37, Lapwing 930, Oystercatcher 3,  Bar-tailed Godwit 400, Redshank 52, Dunlin 892, Ringed Plover 20, Curlew 66 and Turnstone 5.

22nd February 2014 – sunny but persistent S-SW strong to moderate winds. Heron, peregrine, mistle thrush, 8 redwing, bar-tailed godwit.

16th February 2014 – sunny but persistent S-SW strong to moderate winds. 2 goldcrest, little egret, 8 grey partridge, 2 buzzards distant marsh harrier

8th February 2014 – bright and sunny but strong S winds persisting. Song & mistle thrush, 20+ turnstone, 300+ lapwing

2nd February 2014 – Firecrest and 3 goldcrest still present in woods near Fort Paull, sparrowhawk, song thrush. 30 bar-tailed godwit over strays

1st February 2014 – a great start to the year with our first ever Firecrest, 3 goldcrest, 6 long-tailed tit, 2 greater-spotted woodpecker,  in woods near Fort Paull, sparrowhawk, 11 redwing, 2 mistle thrush and one fieldfare in paddock. 25 turnstone, grey plover.
