31st March 2014 – 2 little grebe on pond, one sat on a nestlittle egret, 4 red-legged partridge, 10 wigeon, 25 teal.

29th March 2014 – kingfisher along ditch near hide, 5 little egret, wheatear, chiffchaff. 11 yellowhammer (SB)

28th March 2014 – (SB)  buzzard, 6 yellowhammer, 2 avocet

27th March 2014 – (RL)  Wheatear, 39 avocet, 13 turnstone

23rd March 2014 – 325 grey plover, 12 sanderling, 2 oystercatcher, 9 wigeon, little egret, coot on pond again and a single sand martin.

22nd March 2014 – 2 rookfirecrest seen by SB to south of Fort Paull, buzzard over river and coot on car park pond

16th March 2014 – 22 redwing, 25 turnstone near lighthouse and a chiffchaff near Fort Paull entrance and coot on car park pond

9th March 2014 – light to moderate S winds, sunny & 14degC – Brambling, 3 goldcrest, long-tailed tit, 2 little egret, sparrowhawk, 2 mute swan.

8th March 2014 – received a message from Simon about an Iceland Gull seen over river off Fort Paull and then feeding on the shoreline E of red lighthouse. Arrived to get 5 minute view from the lighthouse before bird flew south over river – thanks Simon, 2nd new bird for us at Paull this year taking our total to 174 since 2004.
