Friday 31st – Simon – 202 pink-footed goose, 12 avocet, 1 chiffchaff, 1 black-cap

Sunday 26th March – from Paul – Quiet, good views of a perched peregrine and 2 marsh harriers on the other side of the river

Saturday 25th – singing chiffchaff, great-spotted woodpercker, tawny owl church yard, 20 avocet on haven. update from Simon – 2 bullfinch fort Paull, short-eared owl on S side of river and again on strays, barn owl.

Friday 24th – from Simon – 2 male eider east mid river, 1 imm male merlin, 2 yellowhammer, 6 small tortoiseshell

Monday 20th – from Paul  – 30+ redwing flock in woods, marsh harrier, 29 turnstone and a goldcrest

Sunday 12th – from Paul – 12 siskin overhead, 12 turnstone, good numbers of common snipe, 6 redwing and good views of the water rail again

Saturday 11th – from Paul – 2 avocet on strays, a single yellowhammer, several little egrets and good views of the water rail in ditch near riding school.

Friday 10th – from Simon – short-eared owl, imm merlin, juv peregrine, 4 mazrsh harrier, 2 water rail, 60 pink-footed goose, 2 redwing

Sunday 5th – 2 marsh harrier, buzzard over south bank, cormorant. From Simon – 1st winter mail common scoter off fishermans car park.

Saturday 4th – Paul & Simon – 3 short-eared owls, 1 merlin (took a lapwing over main stray!), 2 marsh harrier, 1 water rail, 2 stonechat, 1 common scoter, 15 shoveler, 280 pink-footed goose, 1 sanderling
